I think Derek Landy is an amazing writer, especially for the skullduggery series. One of the things that I noticed and like is that you get such a detailed view of skullduggery, but he is one of the few characters that you don’t get a part of of the story from his eyes. Well, after a spell ( pardon the pun) the writer hasn't lost his touch. Love the way he creates the characters and brings it all together. Hope this isn't the last in the series.....
AMAZING book. I've been reading this series since I was 12 and I am nearly 21 now. Each installment is better than the last and I love that this universe keeps expanding.
Daughter was happy to get her UK copy before the US release date!
I've been a long time fan of the Skulduggery pleasant, and it was delightful to walk in the world once more. This wasn't my favourite book from this series, but so good to see Valkyrie and Skulduggery saving the world from yet another Apocolypse. )
This may be Landey's best book yet. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, and I couldn't set it down. The book confronted many controversial issues brilliantly. By far the best book i have read this year. I'll admit I was wary of another book as i felt the series had ended, but i was proven wrong by the first page. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a new fantasy novel different than others.
Love this book. Val struggling with depression and ptsd makes it a more serious kind of book than the others so far. I am a bit lost on how Finbar and Cassandra died. I felt a little more backstory would have been nice since I thought I somehow ended up missing something.
Honestly I love Never and that there is an openly gay couple is even better.
I miss some of the humour but I understand why things arent that great.

My daughter was so excited to read the 10th book in the series, Ressurection. It did not disappoint. Action packed, humorous, suspenseful; she could barely put it down. The characters are complex, memorable and well developed. Derek Landy is a master. My daughter thinks it is better than Harry Potter!
